March 8, 2014 - Old bottle, level down about a half an inch. Cork split in half on the way out but managed to get the other half out without incident. Slow decant with light under bottle revealed sediment but poured 90% into decanter. Musty funky odor that quickly blew off revealing hint of fruit and graphite. Bricked a bit , not too severe. Minimal legs, the odor did not match the taste which was very mellow and smooth. Zero tannins and some complexity across the tongue, fairly long finish. Oldest wine I have tried so far, a different, enjoyable experience.

February 19, 2012 - It's been a year or so since I finished my last bottle, but I wanted to add a not for bottles drank in 2010 and 2008. Both were very nice bottles with lots of secondary flavors having developed. Lovely tobacco and pencil notes intertwined with soft red fruits, just pairs so well with food. If I could find more of this I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Great aging, reasonably priced cab.
