April 27, 2020 - Drink by 2020 in my cellar; 3/1/2020-7/8/2020: My previous bottle was meh—but then it had spent the summer out of the cellar and in my kitchen, so I'm sure that didn't help. THIS bottle, OTH, was delightful. Ample fruit, soft, well revolved tannins, perfectly mature. Now is the time to drink this. Still a great value today, just a a few bucks over the $30 I paid: punches way above its weight. Recommended.
April 25, 2020 - Love this wine... perhaps a smidge too late in drinking as the fruit was not what it was, but still very good.
February 14, 2020 - Slightly past it’s prime, but still drinking well. Fruit, tannins and alcohol quite integrated. Cedar, dark fruit, tobacco notes. Chewy mouthfeel.
February 8, 2020 - Popped and poured. Dark garnet color. Nose of dark cherry and plum with a healthy dose of woody, American oak. More cedar and toasted coconut than dill. Dark red berry fruit and some cigar box on the palate but still a bit more oak than I would like. Medium acid and tannin. Drying finish. Enjoyable wine that probably would have been better with food than on its own but not sure the oak will ever fully integrate.
February 3, 2020 - Many reports of this being over the hill, but that was not my experience. This is a beautiful mature wine that should hold for several years. Stored at 55 degrees since purchase.
December 7, 2018 - Unfortunately this bottle was beyond it's prime. Tasted of stewed fruits.
August 16, 2018 - opened up really nicely. drinking really well right now
August 2, 2018 - Near peak. Need to get more
February 20, 2018 - I have 3 bottles of this and have been storing them for 9 year. The drinking window was supposed to be until 2020. Unfortunately, that's not true. I opened bottle #1 and it appears to be past it's prime. Not terrible, but the vinegar taste is present. If you are holding this, don't any longer.
