October 20, 2018 - While only having modest length, the black cherry upfront and blackberry finish were well-defined and delicious. This bottle still had a fair amount of tannic backbone, especially in what there was of a finish.

February 28, 2015 - Wine tasting Party and Dinner at our house: I decanted this wine and left it sit to breathe and come into its own, but the enthusiastic party guests pounced on it and drank it before its time. It is a much better wine with a longer decant - or wait a couple of years to drink.

January 25, 2015 - Tasty wine. Notes of cranberry, cherry and oak. Floral on the finish. Good with 1 hour decant but could use a short decant, too. Tasty with a slow-roasted duck. Drink to 2018. Good qpr for '$17 on close-out

February 4, 2013 - perfect. Maybe 1 or 2 more years will improve it. Full of different aromas, good in mouth. End a little bit fast.

Christmas Wine Tasting Episode, Episode #377, 12/24/2007 (link) (89-90) points(Chateau Moulin de Lavaud) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-we've stepped up from Single A baseball to the Major League; dense dark chocolate component; gorgeous creaminess (Crème Fraîche); some blackberry; a little cedar & a hint of white asparagus tip; beautiful nose; cave aspect on the back-end; TASTE-we've just pulled into Dry City; extremely dry on the palate which I love; a mixed salad of roasted Red Peppers, Cranberries & a wood aspect; dry sour Cherries upfront w/ a 2nd tier flavor of the Roasted Red pepper; I love the density & balance of this wine; gorgeous floral/fruity components are delicious on the back-end of your palate; little cedar box & clove on the finish; polished & dry; extremely well made; very impressive; great integration; GV-89-90
