April 9, 2023 - Pours a deep yellow-golden colour. The medium+ intensity nose is a bit quiet, offering maturing, caramelized orange, citrus and peach aromas, plus spices and minerals. It's mid-weighted on the deliciously sweet, maturing, and complex palate with caramelized orange citrus, peach, honey, petrol, spices, and floral flavours framed by well-balanced, bracing acidity that keeps the sweetness in check. Sticky on the mid-palate, while petrol, mineral, and spice notes linger on the long, sticky, dry-ish finish. Drinking beautifully now.

December 30, 2020 - Light golden colour. On the nose it shows well developed petrol notes which reach its peak a few minutes after the pour. There is a slight effervescence which slightly distracts but with a few swirl and some time it disappears entirely. The wine is flawless and a good representative of older German Rieslings for a very reasonable price. Sweetness is kept in check with the well balanced acidity. It's not a top contender for first place but still a lot of fun to drink.

October 6, 2020 - Bought Sept 2020 from Majestic UK for £14.99 six mix promo

Decent mature medium-sweet Riesling with some personality but no genuine intensity though is drinking well now at 15 yrs old. Pretty much a bargain at £14.99. Drink up, I doubt it has the complexity/power to get any better in the cellar.

N....rich and medium intensity, lemon/honey, some gentle petrol impression, touch of dried apricot, some wet slate river stone minerals, ripe red/orange apples. Lovely.

    C.....golden straw, looks medium+ body

T.....not as sweet as I expected an Auslese to be, but rich fruit profile anyway which reflects it's Nose but with almonds too, a touch of wet cardboard/paper, some oily character, acid is settled and evident but in no way lively. Wine feels mature. Why cellar? It's drinking very well, and doesn't feel powerful enough to significantly reward further time. Would have marked this into the 90s - was expecting to - but it lacked the concentration and long flavours I was expecting, so just an 89.

VFM?....very good value for money, a mature Riesling from a reportedly good vintage with some class for £14.99 - what's not to like?

September 26, 2020 - Peachy with soft round texture plus some kerosene and bright acidity to off set the sweetness. Medium dry with a minerality and complexity which makes it interesting and enjoyable.

May 5, 2020 - Golden yellow. Nose of petrol, stone, peaches, honey. The palate is sweet but with the typical Mosel acidic backbone that prevents this wine from becoming cloying. For the price, this has to be considered a bargain.
