July 15, 2022 - Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (Eagle Brook CC): Double blind. I was informed that this was a wine I had tasted before- added pressure. Deep youthful color. Black fruit, raspberry and spice box notes with a subtle herbaceous undertone. Medium tannins. Abundant red fruit on the palate. Has a nice herbal quality on the palate as well. Excellent. (J&J)

July 15, 2022 - Double decanted two hours before service. Dark red. Great red fruits on the palate. Medium tannins blended well with the acid. Fruity palate.

A real pleasure to drink. I don't think it's fully mature, but it's really great now.

September 20, 2020 - Nice nose, however, the Merlot seems to have gone flat with age. It's past its prime, but still drinkable.

April 4, 2020 - Drank from Bin North 18. Cork failure. Hint of black cherry on nose. Dark purple. Full body cherry burst some vanilla and stone and long dry finish with lingering cherry and tobacco. Delightful 20 year old aged wine. 9.5/10.

October 27, 2018 - 4th Saturday Group: South America & Spain (M&LA's): Popped and poured with dinner. Plum, currants, soy and floral notes. Hints of tobacco and cedar with air. Plum, cherry and leather on the palate. Integrated tannins. At peak for my palate, drink over the short term.

July 27, 2015 - Drinking really well and glad I opened my only bottle at this age. Nice aromatics and rounded texture. Still tons of ripe fruit, but with elegance and balance. This bottle went quickly between two of us. Could have gone another 10 years easy. Never been disappointed with a Trilogy, only the fact that I don't buy it more often.

December 25, 2014 - I've only ever had one bad bottle of the Trilogy. This one is consistently good; good fruit, resolved tannins, Becomes much more friendly as it warms up, just like any real bordeuax

August 9, 2013 - Popped and poured. Crimson color with notes of red currants, plum, herbs and eucalyptus. Medium-bodied, with softened tannins and a slightly chalky texture. Red fruit, plum, leather and herb flavors. Nice finish.

May 24, 2013 - Drank with the 1998 at a Ned tasting. Both were a medium ruby color, the 98 perhaps had a bit of browning at the edges but neither wine looked particular old. The 99 had a very aromatic nose of black fruit, spice and tar. The 98 much less so, but still some fruit in the nose. The 99 was lively, good fruit with soft tannins nicely integrated into the juice. Drinking beautifully at the moment with lots of life ahead of it. The 98 showed more tertiary elements, with less fruit and perhaps more acidity. The wine was much shorter than the 99. I'd drink these sooner than later. In my opinion, these wines ideally reflected the differences between the 2 vintages--in fact, the 98 likely exceeded expectations, while the 99 met them. Both enjoyable
