July 4, 2023 - Smooth as silk with a beautiful mulled plum background wit moderate complexity that keeps you coming back for more. Much better than the plateau bottling.
January 24, 2023 - Oh my. This is dark, tannic, brooding. Doesn’t want to give you anything more than that initial smash of blackberry and an iron/graphite spine, and some dried herb before the tannins take over and shut it all down. Way too young. No point in opening any more bottles for years. What will it hold? No idea.
January 9, 2023 - (53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, 16 Monate 2/3 in Tonamphoren, 1/3 in Barriques ausgebaut, 15% Neuholz). In der Nase Merlot-lastiger als die anderen Cuvées, dazu viel Kirschfrucht, etwas Pflaume, blonder Tabak. Im Gaumen rund und weich, bereits wunderbar zugänglich, mit viel Schmelz, einer reifen, knackigen Frucht und leicht cremiger Textur, die Tannine sind fein verwoben, tragen die delikate Frucht zusammen mit einer gut eingebundenen Säure in ein langanhaltendes Finale. November 6, 2022 - Leaning on the modern side of things this was good, but not great. Pretty hot, especially on day two, but had big Napa style fruit with some hints of chocolate and maybe some violet. Very primary at the moment with little representations of its terroir. Maybe with time this will balance out, but this is a crowd pleasure wine for sure. Nothing to disappoint.
