February 16, 2019 - I found this bottle in my cellar...long forgotten! When I bought a case back in 2007 I thought it was a good buy for the quality.. my surprise is that it has a better life span than I would have imagined. It has an over ribened odor and the color is dark red with browning. However the taste on the palate is still a successful Cabernet Sauvignon with dark cassis, cherry and a slightly bitter finish. All in for a $30 wine, very surprising and delicious! Interesting how a wine that was not a long term cellar has managed to be not bad after getting lost in my cellar!

April 3, 2018 - Last bottle, still drinking well, consistent with my previous notes.

May 28, 2015 - Not sure where thus wine is heading. Plenty of tannin and thick tar flavours abound, but fruit is quite fleeting. Needs food (rare steak?). A surprisingly good combination was with chocolate!

June 28, 2013 - A hint of Bordeaux initially but rapidly morphs into a thick tarry black fruit cough linctus that I could easily mistake for a full on barossa shiraz. No matter, this is drinking very well now, either on its own or (in this case) with a steak. Not surprised so many of the young tasting notes complained of too much tannin, but this is really hitting its stride.

December 1, 2012 - As last note, but rather better - still plenty of tar and tannin but some black fruit and a long finish

December 18, 2011 - Intense combination of tar, tannin and blackcurrant. Needs food to balance the tannin, or perhaps a few years?

September 11, 2011 - Firm tannin but not over-done. Plenty of fruit. Really quite a decent package. Looking forward to seeing how my others develop.

August 25, 2011 - Aerated 30 minutes. First tasted nearly three years ago, the wine, which didn't seem to have much to begin with, has really fallen apart. It's degraded to the point that it's mostly lifeless. I'm sure there's someone out there, somewhere, who would appreciate this wine in its current state, but I find it thin, bitterly tannic and marked by disjointed acidity. Not even a candidate for a cooking wine.

June 3, 2011 - Expected better. Thin and unremarkable. Alcoholic water.
