November 16, 2011 - Drank in early October, 2011. Amazing wine, beautiful, aged without oxidation, gorgeous terciary aromas and taste. 10 years old, original cost $35. I am so sorry it was my last bottle.

July 20, 2010 - Opened and decanted. Given 30+ minutes of air the fruit emerges to show a CA version of Vosne Romanee.

November 8, 2009 - well integrated, still a bit oaky

    May 3, 2009 - Remarkable - aged like a burgundy. Wonderful surprise

June 8, 2007 - Light ruby color with slightly rusty color around the rim. Smells heavenly like an aged burg with sour cherry, cranberry, red currants, lavender and thyme, as well as some tobacco leaf. Nice and earthy on the palate, with some truffle and solid fruit. Finishes rather well and I would bet that many would peg this as a Volnay before they guess RRV. Super wine that proves CA Pinot can indeed develop similarly to burgs and offer the freshness and elegance that I often miss in CA Pinot.
