May 8, 2024 - Nose: Fruit roll-ups / fruit leather: black currant, black plum, various berries? Oak (vanilla, wood, spices).
Palate: Lots of fruit and oak. Very rich and intense, with a small amount of residual sugar, which balances the alcohol. Overripe; low / medium- acid, medium- length, full body with a smooth texture.
My notes are on the vaguer side I had this wine over a week ago. I recall being pretty meh on it at first, but on the second day, I enjoyed it a bit more. I don't think this kind of big, overripe Cab is my style.
April 3, 2024 - The wine was decanted off a small amount of sediment and aired for an hour.
Eye: Deep purple center, wet pink-red rim.
Nose: Tobacco, mesquite, cassis, oak spice, red fruit.
Palate: Soft velvet tannins. Well balanced acidity. Cacao, vanilla, meat, blood. Red fruit, black fruit. Black cherry kirsch. Light prune.
Finish: Bitter cacao nibs, mesquite. Lingering black cherry.
Overall: Still very youthful; but a real class act.
March 31, 2024 - Verry classy stuff. Silky smooth tannins. Irresistible texture. Classic old school napa cab. Will probably peak after 5-6 years in bottle, and mature for 12-14 years total.

March 15, 2024 - Amazing nose of bright, dark fruit. Still young and tannins should mellow over time into a better structure, but very pleasant.
March 6, 2024 - Beautiful Cabernet even drunk young.
February 28, 2024 - Deep, dark garnet in color, slightly opaque in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruits aromas of cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty & herbal notes, spices, minerals, leather, tobacco & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, herbs, minerals & a touch of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. An indicative blend of Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc.
