December 26, 2011 - Decanted about an hour. Deep ruby color. Blackberries, dried herbs, dark chocolate, anise, fresh ground espresso, and a bit of vanilla on the nice nose. Medium body with solid tannins and very nice acidity. Palate dominated by the savory elements with the subtle fruit coming in on the background. Nice lingering finish with the fruit elements a bit more dominant. Very nice, I'll sit on my remaining bottle for another year or two.

August 13, 2010 - It got beter with air time...after a couple of hours showed some complexity, medium body, pretty elegant, but it seemed to me that it has some green tannins, and that the wine is hidden amongst them.I wouldn't keep it much longer, but if you open it, let it breathe for a while.

    February 21, 2009 - Very light, alomst pinot-ish. Tasty.

January 17, 2009 - Sampled as part of a blind tasting. Purple with red undertones. Black currents, spices, prunes on the nose. Nice dark red fruit on the palate, tongue-coating, little bit of heat in the back. Medium long finish. But there's an overall thin, watery impression I get that I don't like. So overall, a mixed result. Good in the glass, falls apart in the mouth.

July 11, 2008 - We didn't pair it well at dinner. Actually complimented dessert pretty well.
