October 17, 2018 - Past its prime but still very enjoyable. Not very complex despite its age. Nice dark fruit with decent balance and supporting structure. Nice mid week sipper.

May 31, 2017 - Decanted for sediment (there was a lot). Much better shape than the previous bottle. Big burst of raspberry fruit on the attack, with black cherry settling in on the midpalate. Finish is all chocolate covered cherries. Sadly, it started to fall apart and became bitter after a couple of hours, and we poured the remaining 1/4 bottle out. Drink now if you have it!

March 11, 2017 - Owen Roe DuBrul Vineyard Vertical Tasting (My House): The first vintage of DuBrul Vineyard Cab released by Owen Roe. Showing it's age...quite a bit of bricking, and smells like you'd expect an older wine to smell. Much less fruit, but still hanging in there. Flavors of mushroom, loam, cranberry, black tea and cherry. Past it's prime for sure, but still tasty and fun to drink.

June 20, 2008 - Very dark and showing very little age (visually). Nose is showing some secondary characteristics. Has a good 10 years to go I think. Nose is very complex with dark leafy tobacco and scorched earth aromas, with some cassis and dark chocolate aromas. Palate is very lush with nice long tannins. A very nice wine indeed. Needs a lot more time.

May 27, 2006 - This was a dark and youthful purple in the glass with a nose of black fruits and faint rose petals that for me was overwhelmed by oak. The palate had impressive concentration and weight with more strong wood and, you guessed it, it had more wood on the finish. Definitely a big impressive offering and while some people love this stuff it's definitely but not my cup of tea.
