January 11, 2011 - First tried the wine from bottle and then decanted. Cork showed no signs of degradation and the color of the wine was a bright red-purple. The nose was very pretty with hints of eucalyptus and cassis. This wine tasted surprisingly young contrary to the earlier reviews and held up for 2-3 hours while we enjoyed grilled veal rib chops (yummy!). The tannins were well integrated and the wine still showed nice structure. While the wine was prime to drink now, I think it could drink well for another year or two.

December 13, 2010 - Above average still but fading fast. Great nose but falls a bit flat in the mouth. After being open a couple hours at a party, it kinda died. Drink now and I'd drink quickly after opening

November 27, 2010 - Great wine. This is drinking perfectly right now. For a less than stellar year, this is a wonderful aged wine. Color is deep red with a lot of blue in the center. Wide lighter colored rim with a peach fine outer edge. Nose is medium in intensity with cherry, vanilla, and a little pepper. Taste is very smooth ad velvety in the mouth. Cherry notes dominate, but there is also cola and chocolate. Finish is long and lingering. There is not a lot of depth in the nose or in the layers of flavor. Very nice though. Tannins and acidity are faint at this point. I recommend drinking now, no need to wait.

July 28, 2010 - I was impressed with this. I expected a dull, flat version of a previously fatty wine. What I got was a lightly scented, vivid minty, somewhat aged Cabernet that was interesting to drink.
