April 9, 2010 - Nice clean expression of Sangiovese; spicy red fruit, layered cherry, floral, sweet tobacco, slightly herbal nose. Nice sweet-tart cherry, cinnamon, lingering earthy note, finishes on a pleasant bitter note. Good acid, restrained oak character, food-friendly for sure. For $12.99 this is a winner from Garagiste. The cork was saturated 3/4 of the way up - careful about letting these sit too long.
