March 31, 2019 - A forgotten bottle. This my first experience with Zinfandel this old. Nice. Like zin but mellowed...alchohol integrated and no jammyness.

November 22, 2014 - Had with fruit and crackers and some chocolate cake. Was heavy bodied dark but tasted older. More subdued than I expected

May 17, 2014 - This is horrible!
The nose is full of nail polish remover, pine resin, raisins, candy fruit and liquorice. On the palate there's first sweet, sugary fruit and then bitter sourness. Completely disjointed and unbalanced.
Bad bottle? Bad wine?
My first guess was Italy and Valpolicella and dried grapes. -

April 29, 2013 - It's a really good wine, but not a $30 wine. Not complex enough. Fairly strong minerality overpowering any berries.
