March 2, 2024 - We should have given this a little bit more air, because this wine really opened up with a bit of time. Lovely pear, melon, peach, mango, lemon, good acidity and body. This was a bit richer than the 2020 Marine (at least in my memory!).

February 18, 2024 - Medium straw in color. Nose takes 20-30 mins to show aromas of yellow citrus, zest, lemon curd, yellow florals, flint and hint of ginger. A linear and precise palate shows flavors of lemon zest and pith, salty minerals, superb acidity and then fans out on the back end to show hint of underripe apples and spice on the finish. Very Chablis like but without the sea-shells/intense chalky notes. Superb wine for the money.

December 15, 2023 - Delicious. I love this style of Chardonnay. Saline, lots of acid, some reductive notes. Lighter bodied and refreshing. Ann, on the other hand, doesn’t prefer it.

November 15, 2023 - I decanted this for 40 minutes before service, and kept it at about 53 degrees. I like this bottle even more than last two I noted here. Even more welcoming, so easy to love for casual drinkers, but interesting enough for we winos. The steady lees contact provides depth and weight, and is a bit too prominent, but this remains a big platter of fresh and dried peach, nectarine, and white melon dusted with applewood smoked sea salt. Its damn yummy, and perfect tonight with cherry wood grilled gochujang marinated skinless chicken thighs, chopped salad, and seared lions mane shrooms with lots of garlic and orange. Just keep heavy cream and animal fat away from this beauty, and it will shine. Kudos Seth!

November 12, 2023 - Pale platinum gold. Citrus, pear, an English garden in summer, salinity and minerality. Fresh, sharp and bright. High acidity with light to ight-medium bodied. Long finish. Very well-made entry-level wine.

November 1, 2023 - My first Morgen Long...well second bottle in a week...VERY much likie! This guy is still partying as it was a little hissy upon opening...but some air and swirling calms it down nicely. Super crisp and nervy...bright with lemon lime squeeze...some mango, grapefruit....pretty flower blossom, dried honey florals...LOVE LOVE the crushed rock salinity...that dry extract...with a nice balanced cream, almond, and wax to it. More so in this bottle than the first right off the truck! Yes...very Chablisienne...Louis Michel comes to mind...but you don't get that chalky limestone and sea air funk here...this is very crystalline and pure...very tasty...VERY Oregon Chardonnay! Can't wait to try the others...
