There should be a touch (no more than 15%) of cab Sauv and petit Verdot to add body and depth here. I like it- a gluggable easy going but complex spicy and interesting wine. Bravo Casanova Di Neri for creating this “sweet spot” PQR wine that doesn’t need decanting, opening early or long cellaring to deliver the pleasure expected from Montalcino.

  August 2, 2023 - Fuller bodied and more blue/black fruits than most Sangiovese plus a little less acidic. I suspect it has some bordeaux varietals in it. Enjoyable before dinner and w/pizza. Good value.

  April 28, 2023 - Aromas of black fruit. A bit earthy. Nice balance with medium tannins and acid. Opens up nicely. Very pleasant wine. Could have aged longer.
