March 21, 2024 - Perhaps I'm just in a better mood, but this is more attractive than the bottle I opened a few months ago. Still very bourgogne rouge, acidity medium, a light touch but dark fruited. From the Champagne lieux dit in the south by Morgon, this is uncharacteristically reserved Fleurie. Still, it's elegant, complex, and enjoyable. Very good.

February 25, 2024 - Medium red. Strawberry cherry nose, light intensity. Fresh, pure fruit. Light body and intensity. Maybe it would be more expressive with a decant.

February 11, 2024 - Light color. Lively, crunchy fruit, earth/funk and stones. Light bodied, unmistakably Foillard with the cranberry, minty marks. Very precise and pure, pretty. On the young side, of course, but very sexy stuff already.

January 26, 2024 - Pale ruby in the glass. Wonderful complexity, both on the nose and the palate. Nothing jumping out in your face, it's all about subtlety here. Beautifully elegant wine with bright acidity that really lifts the fruit up to another level and just a brush of tannins. Almost drinking like a Pinot Noir in my eyes, but Foillard is Foillard.

January 24, 2024 - Brooding nose, it shuffles out of the glass with sullen blue fruit, wet earth, and a trailing wisp of smoke. Medium acidity and moderate tannins, very little carbonic influence peeking through. Palate is a bit flat, adding sandalwood spice to the nose and finishing medium on mineral notes. Missing the dynamism of his Morgon cuvées, this drinks like a Bourgogne rouge. Good, but disappointing. I have a bunch more in the cellar to revisit.
