May 3, 2010 - The Tamarí seems to vary year to year, from pretty good to really good. The 2006 has dark fruits, mainly blackberry & dark cherry, with spices & black pepper. Almost a bit too sharp on the finish, but can't say any more time would help.
January 21, 2009 - Not sure what was going on with this one. The nose had a plastic thing going on with herbal earthiness and spicy berries. The palate showed fine. Spicy approach, leaning towards hot really (alc?) Blackberries, dollop of toasty wood, and again the spice on the finish. Mild tannins, but they are present. Decent acidity, but I wouldn't necessarily say balance by any means. Not bad, but there are others that blow this out of the water.
October 8, 2008 - Very dark colored. Scents of cherry. Big tannins and not so big flavor. Lingering dry fruity finish.
June 3, 2008 - This is my 3rd bottle of this and it seems to be getting better with age, In a couple more years...
June 1, 2008 - purple in the glass, with a nose of mocha, chocolate and coffee. this has lush blackberry fruit, solid tannic structure and medium acidity. earth, coffee and toast flavors linger on the silky finish. solid malbec for the price.
April 18, 2008 - Was a good QPR. Thick, purple, blackberries, a little blueberry. Not the best malbec I've ever had, but most definitely not the worst.
March 2, 2008 - This one is a bit too thin and uninteresting to warrant a repeat purchase.....at 10 bucks....no harm no foul.
