January 30, 2017 - Loire Night (San Francisco): Tasted blind-guessed 2007 Muscadet with wood like Clisson. Medium yellow. Some citrus. Chalky feel, fuller than usual Melon. Zingy acidity, great liveliness. Amazing aged Muscadet.

July 2, 2016 - A small sendoff for Salil as he moves to flyover country and a happy birthday to Jay! (Chelsea Wine Storage.): Showing beautifully. It's mature and has taken on that Chablis-like character, though is in no danger of falling off soon. Lots of mineral, crushed oyster shells, citrus, star fruit and a strong spearmint note on the nose and palate. Vibrant with age-softened edges to the acid structure. Just delightful. A-.

April 24, 2016 - A private lunch (Restaurant Epicure ***, Hotel Le Bristol, Paris): Ten months sur lie, no malo, no oak. Intense but lively colour, light for age; concentrated nose, ripe citrus and aromatic herbs, fresh as a daisy, powerful saline lift, lemon cream, waxy depth, hints of tropical fruit and flower honey; there is a lovely richness of fruit to the attack, the palate is dry but juicy and fresh, with crisp acidity and a whiff of sea air on the back palate; very good aromatic persistence on the long and complex finish. Has developed marvellously over two decades, incredibly youthful but now at peak.

May 31, 2015 - MuscaDay 2015: A bit closed and muted at first but shows a lot of minerals, melon, chalk. Not too briny, moderately floral, similar to the 2002 in its structure, but with a bit less verve.

March 15, 2014 - Louis/Dressner Tasting with all the Winemakers (E&R, Portland, OR): Smells like a hard cheese rind. Really rich and fantastic. Again, rich and thick on the palate, with some prominent minerality but lots of melon as well. Thick and rich. Slightly muted upon swallowing, but then slowly the volume turns up as it builds complexity with a rich covering of acidity. Nice.

October 14, 2012 - My parents liked it. I found it too bitter for my liking.

Update: On day 2, with Indian curry, this wine was very nice. Not sure if it was day 2, or the curry, but I'm upping the rating from 84 to 88.
