February 12, 2021 - 5+ years after first tasting this port and nearly 17 years on, it still impresses. One more bottle to taste in a few years.
May 31, 2016 - Bottle has been open for over 6 months, and it's still improving. I think unopened this could have 20+ years of life.
October 24, 2015 - First taste of this port since being seduced by it at a tasting with Jacob himself last spring. It doesn't disappoint. Nice fruit with smoothness. Alcohol doesn't over power.
November 24, 2014 - I'm not into port but this blew me away. for 750ml at $50 this is a steal to impress your wine friends that like the closer of all closers. Sweet full blackberry along with some caramels make up the befinning unfolding into dark berries and cocoa on the middle and end.
March 3, 2013 - Big, rich, hearty, strong, with a fascinating and somewhat bizarre butterscotch nuttiness up front, and rich syrah fruit portiness on the finish.
September 25, 2009 - This wine exceeded my expectations. Incredibly thick and black on the palate, with great balance.
