February 22, 2023 - Brought appropriate cork extraction equipment. I'm learning. Dark deep red. Impenetrable. Ribena fruit sweet aromas waft from the glass. Soft McLaren Shiraz blended well with tannins at this age. Clean dry finish. Cork was in good nick.

January 8, 2022 - I'm surprised by this bottle. Cork was crap. Wet all the way through, crumbling, some wine seepage. However wine still surprisingly good. Soft McLaren Vale aged shiraz. Not as good as prvior bottle, but good enough for pizza.

December 25, 2021 - Cork broke on extraction. Rest pushed in due to lack appropriate implements. This wine is hitting its stride. Still strong fruit, excellent tannin backbone. I expect bottle variation in the rest of my stock, already finding one weeping.

June 18, 2016 - Living up to expectations. Cork fine. Cooked plums. Juicy with strong acid backbone. Pepper.

June 20, 2009 - Fruit forward, very ripe fruit - like overripe bananas. Excellent length. Good mouthfeel, not too overpowering. Some sweetness. Needs to be match with red meat however in order to balance the power.
