May 2, 2012 - Total disappointment for the price. Classic Pinot nose and color. Flavors are thin at best and the finish is nearly non-existent. If I'd had this blind, I would have guessed it was a $10 Pinot. Too bad.

September 17, 2011 - NC Cindy Tasting, Blinds Night. (NC Wino's Stately Wayne Manor): NC Cindy tasting, Blinds Night. Pinot Noir - Oregon v. California v. Burgundy. This wine had a nice solid, translucence to it, by appearance not too extracted and in the middle of the three pours. The nose, on the other hand, was the least forthcoming of the three, with a little mineral character and not really very much fruit. On the palate, the fruit was subdued, but present, with a nice cherry cola aspect to it. There was some secondary maple and earth, but it was generally on the lighter side. The finish was relatively short, but the wine was very smooth and balanced. This was a very solid effort, but at the ~$35 price point, it wasn't an incredible bargain or anything. Solid. It was my middle choice of the three in terms of quality, but most others present put it last, I believe. Everyone picked it out as the Burgundy.

February 22, 2010 - Great nose of strawberries and cherries. Nice smooth earthy cherry taste with a bit of tannins for a little grip. I think this wine will drink really well in another 2-3 years. But it actually drinks well now with ~15 minutes of air in the glass. And it drank better on the first day than on the second day for me.

August 2, 2009 - Quite chalky and rustic. Being from Chassagne-Montrachet it should be Old World, and there is no doubt that this is.

    June 4, 2009 - far too young...will be a 91-93 pt wine in 5-9 years.
