September 29, 2009 - Wine had a decent nose of yellow and green fruit. Lots of citrus, not showing much of a tropical play that I was looking to experience from this producer.
There was also an effervecence onthe tip of the tounge that was awkward making the bottle seem flawed. Months back I returned a Pinot Noir from Oregon that had this 'spritz' and i ended up exchanging it for a different bottling of the same vineyards wine. No bueno in my book.

June 2, 2009 - Nose: Lemon and some toasty oak. Palate: Good acidity. Flavors of lemon and fig. Medium finish and good balance. A little spendy at $25 on sale but decent.

March 20, 2009 - Binny's Spring California Night (Binny's Highland Park, highland park IL): nose: good airy and lighter nose with citrus tones, orchard fruits, navel oranges, and some oak and buttery tones to round it out. Nice nose, and not too over malo'd or oaked on the nose

taste: nice medium feel with rich tones of orchard fruits, navel oranges, and some butter and oak

overall: a good chardonnay and done well, but doesn't posses a lot of depth or definition.

January 14, 2009 - Wine Watch Best of 2008 Tasting (Ft. Lauderdale, FL): Medium to full body, somewhat restrained fruit with nice acidty and a fair amount of oak. A style I like with just a little more oak than I prefer.

December 13, 2008 - $33 for a half bottle @ roka akor. jesus, would it kill a restaurant to have a decent wine by the glass selection, or at least one alternative to this in halves? pathetic. i only chugged about half a glass, and let jane slug down the rest. lots of oak, but a good producer like talley can still manage to bring something to the table, and at least there was nice acid and fruit in balance. pretty plain vanilla, but sometimes that isn't the end of the world.
