December 17, 2023 - Clean. Medium tawny. Marked sediment. Light blackcurrant, blackberry, maybe a hint of raspberry. Medium vanilla, cloves, cedar, smoke. Intense leather, dried fruit, mushroom, forest floor. Dry, high acidity, medium tannin, medium alcohol, full bodied. Pronounced flavour. Long finish.

Really nice Bordeaux but a little lacking in fruit. Good value!

September 21, 2023 - Smells very Cabernet - eucalyptus, cigar box, pencil shavings, cassis - the usual Parkeresque panoply. Quite dry - too dry - lacks fruit and sweetness. Too dry and dusty. Charmless and sad.

February 13, 2023 - Lean, austere, savoury. Perhaps a little too lean. But a good example of real value mature claret.

January 8, 2023 - Finished the bottle started by Coravin a couple of weeks ago. Stood upright for 24 hours then decanted. Considerable sediment, a little of which was still in the final glass.
Much more typical of a mature Moulis than the first taste of it. Some gentle fruit, tannic influence quite muted once it got some air. Tertiary notes to the fore; earthiness, minerality, some oak.
Still a very pleasant drink but I wouldn't hang around with it now.

December 30, 2022 - Different to my expectations of a mature Moulis en Medoc, based on Chasse Spleen tasted over several vintages.
This had dried fruit, red fruit compote and spice on the nose, almost like mulled wine. Quite fleshy on the palate, some tannin still and fine sediment (I took a glass by Coravin). Quite a short finish, but very agreeable with roast rib of beef.
