December 23, 2023 - quick taste before the gym (before the bottle got finished!) overall quite impressed. especially by the QPR. Blackberry, red fruit, black peppers spice. Oak there but in great harmony. med +/ high acidity, medium+ tannins. med/med + body. Medium + finish. Everything a good reserva should be. Buy again Willing to pay up to 35 for this bad boy.

I have a few more in the cellar. Had Planned to drink thru 2028. Seems about right to me. Might push up to 2027 just because really seems to be singing now. Curious to see what time will do for em.

August 17, 2023 - Just like earlier bottles. A great Rioja. Open for about one and a half hours.
July 19, 2023 - Creamy blackberry notes with smoked black fruit, toasty oak and blueberry. Very nice mid-palate feel and a lengthy finish
June 15, 2023 - Have not had a bottle of this wine in a while. This one was on top of a bottle consumed in 2022. Classic Rioja at a great price. The bottle was opened for an hour plus before dinner.
May 25, 2023 - Tomé esta edición hace tres años y estaba buena, pero ahora sin duda mucho mejor, quizás en la cumbre. Está elaborado con Tempranillo y algo de Graciano y Mazuelo y pasa 18 meses en barrica de roble francés y americano. Alc. 14,5% vol. Color rojo granate, capa media-alta, ribete teja. Nariz terciaria de fruta confitada, toffee, tierra, cuero. En boca tiene acidez activa y todavia buen volumen, aunque su perfil es el de un vino sutil y complejo, con un paso suave y mucho de la nariz en el final de boca.

January 31, 2023 - Nice every day. Typical Rioja notes of dark berries, forest floor, and cigar box. Medium bodied, medium+ acidity, medium finish. Nothing spectacular here. Have with red meat and it will compliment better. JS 93 pts severely overrated.
