February 9, 2020 - Brick colour, mature nose with hints of leather, earth. On the palate smooth, earthy, good length. Drink this now if you like old wines, no Point in keeping any longer.

April 24, 2012 - From 750ml. Served and drink at Pied a Terre in London. Decanted and served immediately. Colour was brick red with no brown edges. Bright and vibrant. Classic Pessac nose with plenty of tobacco leaf and earth. Fresh but with a little secondary notes of cedar. On the palate, rounded, dry, balanced but with plenty more tobacco and earth. Nicely integrated tannins and a good finish. Matched veal very well. Surprisingly good considering the vintage and age. Perhaps more of the grand vin went into the second wine this year as this bottle exuded real class and balance. A little lacking and fruit and complexity but a pleasant surprise nonetheless. Sommelier seemed to agree and perhaps rated the wine a point or two higher than me.

September 1, 2008 - Quite nice. Excellent with steak. Brownish read in color. Good nose of berries and cedar. Good balance on the palate with nice fruit, acid and minerality.
