June 21, 2021 - In a great place. Mature in appearance with bricking on the rim but youthful on the palate. Chambolle and delicate on the nose but Morey and powerful in the mouth. Ripe bing cherries with a good amount of resolving tannins. Should drink well for a while.

January 16, 2021 - Has some dark fruits, a whiff of iron, black earth and a hint of leather. It is rich and powerful in the mouth, supremely youthful for its age. There are elements of beauty and muscle. I like it very much but it needs more time.

September 30, 2020 - Professional tasting notes too harsh here. This is a sound vintage and tightly crafted 1er Cru with bright black cherry and wild strawberry fruit. A masculine aromatic profile with iron filings and orange rind. Herbal notes of fennel lace the front foot forward oak. Mouth coating tannins, saline mineral structure and pleasing tart acidity. It tastes younger than its vintage but secondary elements emerging. Enjoyable and Morey-Saint-Denis terroir shines through.

March 20, 2020 - Terrific aromatics; the palate is dominated by structure and ripe fruit. The fruit is starting to show tertiary characteristics. I will revisit my other bottles in a few years.

December 24, 2019 - Corked. Well this was really disappointing.
