April 6, 2024 - Local Wine Shop Tasting (My average score for April went way down) (Bloomington, MN): One of the more boring Champagnes in the world. Simple with some chalk, light fruit and dust. Short finish and lower acidity.

December 18, 2023 - "Entry level" NV Champagne that's usually affordable when you can find it. Quite primary on the nose - ripe green apples, ripe pears, ripe apricots. Only medium intensity of aromas. You're left wanting more. Fares better on the palate, which adds flavors of toasted pecans and fresh baked bread and shows a medium + intensity of flavors.

Medium body with medium acid and a medium + mousse. Not super complex, but hey, I like that it shows some autolytic and nutty flavors. Tasty and acceptable for NV Champagne to me. The low price and wide distribution are points in its favor.

December 2, 2023 - Ok this stuff is a pale comparison of what it used to be. Almost worse than Veuve. Bitter overall with minerals, dust and muted fruit. Yeast is very evident on this Champagne. Roederer Anderson far superior and half the price.

October 31, 2023 - Good value for entry-level Champagne. You can taste the typical characteristics of lemon, green apple, and brioche. Quite a typical nose and palate for the style, however, it is lacking in intensity to score any higher. Can't argue the value of this wine!

October 17, 2023 - Nose of tangerine, lemon, sweet tart and ginger. Palate is very clean, light and fresh. Very nice and easy.

August 25, 2023 - I have always enjoyed this champagne because of the rather unique house style - very steely and austere. Haven't tried one of these in quite a while and was very surprised (pleasantly!) at how different this paticular bottle was. Very balanced and definitely sweeter/fruitier than I can ever remember it being. Also lots of brioche on the mid-palate and finish. So much so that if I had tasted this blind, I would have guessed it was a Bollinger Special Cuvee. All told, this was a real treat for an under $35 bottle of champagne.

April 1, 2023 - Haskell's Grand Tasting (Bloomington, MN): Here is another Champagne NV that is not even close to the level of the Roederer Anderson Valley. Tart fruits, spice, dough and minerals. Not bad but $35 so much better out there.

December 31, 2022 - bright, crisp green apple on the nose and lemon zest on the palate.
fine bubbles acidtity was clear and present and the finish was slightly prickly. Drank over the day . no real change.. solid $35-40 bottle.

December 18, 2022 - Apples and almond notes on the aroma. Taste is similar. Medium-plus body. Medium-plus acidity. Overall, the champagne is oxidized and not pleasant at all.
