Second bottle that i tried over the past 6 weeks that showed poorly compared to previous bottles
November 24, 2009 - Starting to fade? Fruit is clearly vanishing. Bad bottle?
November 8, 2009 - one hell of a consistent wine ... QPR city ... nice aromatics ... good fruit ... good finish ... a very balanced wine ... 2 thumbs up = 90+ ... hey BP, buy the 07 if you haven't already.
June 11, 2009 - Luscious creamy red fruit. Smooth sweet tannins. Great wine
April 26, 2009 - Old world style Bordeaux complete with earthiness and complexity- fruit, mushroom and leather
April 3, 2009 - We weren't as wowed by this wine, as everyone else was. Had some nice fruit, tannins and earth ... but not powerful enough for us nor complex nor living up to the hype.
Maybe an off bottle or too young or we didn't decant? (We just popped and poured: drank over the next 2 hours)
It is a shame, b/c I really wanted to like this wine
February 26, 2009 - Complex berry nose, with a smooth fruit feel in the mouth and a top Bordeaux-like complexity of flavors balanced by appropriate tannin levels. A few hours in the air would help soften the tannic finish a bit. An outstanding bang for the buck
February 13, 2009 - Consistent with notes from November. If anything, it appears to be rounding more into form. Needed a good hour decant to shine. I will try to hold off opening my remaining bottles until at least Winter '09/'10.
