December 25, 2023 - A: deep garnet, loads of bricking
N: leather, tabak, slight vegetal, cranberry, earth, mushroom, dried herbs, ripe cherry
P: dry, high acidity, high fully integrated tannins, full body, 14% ABV
C: very good = balanced acidity/tannins with some remaining fruit and tertiary, med (+) intensity, med (+) complexity, med (+) concentration on ripe red cherry, med (+) finish. Drink now - past peak but holding for a little longer.
September 3, 2023 - Very concentrated, shockingly so for a Brunello. Notes of tobacco, spice, leather and raspberry. Medium finish, still will strong tannins. Need to wait a few years for the remaining two bottles.
July 16, 2023 - Previously tasted April, 2023. Still very nice.
April 27, 2023 - near the end of it's "drink-by" dates, however, it is a wonderful bottle of Brunello.
March 5, 2022 - Cherry nose with some hints of mushrooms and meat? Slightly chewy palate, some cedar, a little dry (after 3hrs). Was brighter on pouring so maybe at its peak?
December 7, 2021 - Corked. Colour changed.
May 30, 2021 - Aged well. Drink.
May 28, 2021 - Dark red, brick edge. Red currant, currant leaf, cherry candy, caramel nose. Cherry fruit, medium body, tight. Not the longest finish. In its prime.
January 9, 2021 - Moderately corked
November 18, 2020 - Excellent, ready to drink. Elegant, soft tannins, red fruits (framboise, groseille, fraise, myrtille, cerise, mure, cassis) with a slight hint of mushroom and noisette grillé.
