March 15, 2024 - My first Chard from Convene. Nice acidity with a good finish. very enjoyable
March 7, 2024 - Pale gold medium body (14.1%) wine. Floral nose followed by apple fruit with a hint of grapefruit. Super finish. After a second day in a closed carafe the wine was mediocre.
December 30, 2023 - What’s that old Jimmy Buffet song, Grapefruit Juicy Fruit. Pretty well sums up my experience here, with apples and pineapple secondary fruit. There’s a little butterscotch on the finish, which I generally dislike, but it’s a welcome compliment to the brightness of the fruit. (Second day I noticed the Granny Smith apple a lot more than the citrus.)
December 19, 2023 - Delicious.
November 4, 2023 - This is a clear light yellow colored wine. I get sour apple and spicy grapefruit on the medium to full bodied palate. There's also some butterscotch and vanilla oak elements in the mix. The acidity is crisp and the consistency is rich. The finish is dry, crisp, and persistent. The generous alcohol level is at 14.1%. To me this wine has an angular structure. My overall impression is this is a good, intense, and distinguished wine.
