February 25, 2024 - Robe toujours opaque et profonde.Le bouquet est de superbe intensité et d'une complexité merveilleuse:on a des fruits noirs (cassis,mûre,sureau,myrtille),des épices (romarin,laurier),du café,du cacao,du cuir,de l'orangette...C'est merveilleux on ne se lasse vraiment pas de le humer....Le palais est tout en puissance,tout en muscle avec les mêmes saveurs q'au nez.Ce vin peut encore tenir très longtemps....Cette bouche ne plaira pas aux amateurs de vins avec une grande élégance et une grande souplesse....Néanmoins,on doit admettre le sérieux du vinificateur qui n'abuse pas de rendements pléthoriques....
March 10, 2023 - Huge, big with quite a bit of oak, over-extraction. Not my style, but this is really like a Super CdP not from CdP but Rasteau. Next day mellowed out a bit more and was more enjoyable. Mpole, then at JP

February 27, 2021 - Not generally my style of wine, but it's quite pure not overbearing grenache. Good with hearty winter food.

Aromas undefinable, maybe rubbish, wet soaked through burned newspapers, and so on , flawed but not corked, the cork has a pretty alright smell, no rating!

September 8, 2018 - Another Saturday at Chevalier...Mostly Blind Spanish Wine (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Old vine concentration comes across as slightly/ faintly rustic, and certainly big, powerful and long. Elegant and low octane Grenache well done.
April 8, 2018 - Tiefdunkles Purpurrot, schmaler Rand / von der ersten Sekunde an sensationell: fein nuancierte Aromen von zerdrückten Brombeeren, Heidelbeeren und etwas Waldboden, intensiv und doch frisch / am Gaumen viel reife Frucht, wieder zerdrückte Waldbeeren und etwas Erdbeere, ganz leicht unterlegt mit edlen feurigen Noten, die fast an einen Kognak der Spitzenklasse erinnern; das alles sehr transparent und fast jugendlich, keine Spur von Breite und Überfülle (nur 14 % Alkohol), ein Wein von einer Rasse und Differenziertheit, wie man ihn nicht oft serviert bekommt. Ganz großes Kompliment!
