November 19, 2007 - not a bad inexpensive chianti. have had the reserve and it is definitely worth the extra money, but this was fine for the homemade pizza and stuffed peppers. smoother than reported earlier.
April 24, 2006 - Opened for about an hour before consuming. did not decant. Was solid, tasty, flavorful, blackberry scented wine. Perfect companion for with basil, tomato, mozzarella, olive oil and balsamic vingegar, bread.
October 21, 2005 - Not a bad bottle of wine. It was worth another try.
August 14, 2005 - Not as good as I had expected. Lot of better offerings in this $10-$15 range.
May 28, 2005 - Opened-up eventually, but tasted mostly of tar & oak, loads of tannins, but too little acidity.
March 17, 2005 - Very fruit forward style, good value
January 20, 2005 - Bottle Decanted about 30 min. Blackberry and touch of strawberry and spice aromas around a core of heat. Medium to light body and tannic at the start with fruit evident on a flabby mid-palatte. A somewhat closed finish. Perhaps this wine is too young.
