March 4, 2018 - This is in a perfect place for my tastes with resolved tannins but still vibrant fruit. Beautiful and mature with plenty of red Gevrey earth and fruit character, this drinks so well now but I'm sure will continue to evolve over the next 5-7 years. Lovely Village wine from 60 year old vines and the beautiful and ripe 2002 vintage...a fine combination and a classic Gevrey. 91+

July 28, 2017 - Bought on, and stored well since, release. This is drinking quite well now. Textbook Gevrey masculinity with dark fruit, soubois nose, and a bit of tannin not yet resolved. I only have one of these left, but will probably wait two years or so to consume it.

May 27, 2015 - For a wine at this level, this was very good indeed, both with food and sipping on its own. Tart fresh cherry bouquet, ample mouth feel and a restrained nose. I think this will improve with time.

June 11, 2013 - Confrerie Chapitre De Vigne En Fleur (The French Table Bistro - Vancouver, BC): Quite tight on the nose at present showing some spicy black pepper spice and dilute black cherry fruit. Much more open and expressive on the palate, displaying funky black cherry fruit and black pepper spice, along with some mint leaves, violet, a touch of prunes, and black currants. Quite minty on the finish which almost showed a bit leafy. This really was a case of polar opposites, with the nose shut down and hiding and the palate coming out to play and showing it's stuff. Could use a few years. Very good

February 1, 2013 - Blackberry, black cherry aromas with a touch of oak and licorice. Similar fruit flavors with some dark roast coffee and dark chocolate. Moderate length and density, but good for its level with overall good balance. This may still have some upside from here.
