October 23, 2022 - Nose exhibits vitamin, iron, blood and dark fruit. Palate is bold and a bit rustic. It is quite masculine but it is missing nuance. It opens up more layers and sweetness after an hour mark.

May 22, 2021 - Decanted about an hour. Absolutely delicious! Rich, integrated and lingering. Should drink well at least for the next 5 years.

September 8, 2016 - Either a touch of cork taint or more rustic than I prefer. Bit saline on nose and palate. More old-style Burg than the crystalline purity we're spoiled by today...

June 16, 2016 - This was Anne et Francois Gros.

Decanted for sediment 6 hours prior. This was closed initially but once it warmed up. Wow. Such elegance. Like Dujac but cleaner and more elegant. Touch of stems on the nose, bright red cranberry fruit, loads of spices, some black tea and leather. Then some minty eucalyptus on the nose. Even floral at some times. As the night progressed the nose continued to shift and change.

On the palate it is so incredibly balanced. Wonderful sweet fruit with fully resolved tannins. Some iron and mineral. Literally perfect. Power without weight. This is in a gorgeous spot right now but I dare say even room to develop complexity with age. Certainly could go another 10-20 depending on how you like your burgundy.

March 4, 2016 - Purchased in 93 directly from importer. Perfect condition and fully mature though I would expect with good provenance and cellaring, this should have another 5-10 years. Tannin's leveling out leaving behind a rich textured palate of red fruit. Hints of truffle on the nose. Lingering, balanced and powerful. Delicious!
