October 12, 2020 - Wow, this Cabernet is drinking so beautifully right now. What stands out is the texture: silky, like an expensive, solid scarf floating down onto the most sensitive part of your skin. (Fill in the blank!) Prominent notes of blueberry and chocolate. Please decant, because the aromatics of my sample here are a tiny bit reserved. After time in the glass, I got smoke, leather, tar, and ripe blackberry. Day three: totally evolved, still pure and silky, but with the secondary flavors and aromas more prominent: smoky tar and asphalt, maybe even olive tapenade.

June 7, 2020 - Still a vivid and plush, vibrant Cabernet. Seamless. Black fruit-driven, licorice, but serious. Decanted for 1+ hours and just lovely.

May 29, 2020 - Full bodied. Cassis, licorice, tobacco, tar

April 18, 2020 - At home with some casual food, good chance to check back in on this. Bottles purchased at release, in my cellar since. Clean (almost perfect) cork, decanted for 30 minutes and drank over 2 hours.

Medium purple/ruby color, mild fading and separation. Nose was a but tight, easing up about an hour in to show dark fruits and earth notes. Palate showed blackberry compote, tobacco, chocolate. Rich texture, mildly sweet with some brambly berry notes in the mid palate. Medium weight, long finish. Tannins smoothed and sweetened.

This showed really well on this evening. I didn't get any of the flaws noted by other tasters, perhaps a some bottle variation showing up? Nicely aged, mellowed from its youth, fruits still ripe and vibrant. Based on this tasting, it will go a while longer but hard to say if it will improve. If you have more than one its worth opening...
