March 9, 2019 - Eden east dinner with grouple
August 3, 2013 - Two hour decant, nose of cassis, dark berry and wood are the predominant flavored, nice finish. We didn't notice the heat others have mentioned. Drinking very well right now.
January 19, 2013 - Dinner with Friends (Oswego): Opened by our hosts. Opaque inky color. Aromas of chocolate, ripe briary fruit, spice and pine. Full-bodied, with spicy oak, wood and briar qualities. Tannic and a bit hot across the palate and through the finish.
August 6, 2011 - Not my type of wine. Liked it less than the last bottle.
August 1, 2011 - I was about to write this one off drinking right out of the bottle, but after an hour or so of decanting, this really transformed into something much more likeable and interesting.
February 5, 2011 - Decanted for an hour before serving to open up. Great blend of earthy tones and spice. It's been a while since we had this and we were pleased on remembering why we had added this to our collection.
January 7, 2011 - Purply plum color. Powdery nose, soft, dark berry, vanilla, boysenberry cobbler, cinnamon. Palate of blackberries.
December 29, 2010 - Only had a taste but seemed similar to previous bottle.
June 21, 2010 - Bright purple. High-toned nose of blueberry pie. Dark flavors, slightly resinous, pruney, syrupy, tight, big long finish.
August 22, 2009 - better nose than prior tasting, but still over-oaked. Seems to be better balanced, maybe it's bottle variation.
adjusted points up 2.
