June 5, 2023 - 2nd of 3. I didn't love this as much as my last bottle. It seems a bit tired, but perhaps it's just in an awkward phase. Nose showed some mushroom, earthy elements, and a lot of ancho chili / chili powder scents, which I thought was unusual. The palate still had loads of fruit, even a bit sweet, and chocolate notes. It was silky smooth. Finish was medium. Tannins are mostly resolved.

October 11, 2020 - A beautiful Cab. This needs some air. Still incredibly fresh and youthful. Tannins are integrated, but they still have life. Acid is strong. Fruit is beautiful and fresh as always from this producer - one of the most lovely expressions of cabernet sauvignon that I've had. A great wine. Drink through 2027 or so.

January 15, 2020 - Excellent. One of my favorite California producers. The wine is rich and full bodied but has balance and structure with moderate tannins. Less jammy and extracted so it has a freshness often absent from big Napa cabs. 14.4% abv. Drink now -2027.

August 3, 2018 - Really big nose of classic Napa ripe red fruit. Red candies.

Round soft tannins. Long silky finish that goes on and on and on.

Really good acidity and fruit still going Strong. This wine sill has the ability to go much longer.

March 9, 2018 - Typical spice in the nose which makes sense since Tom uses new oak barrels every year.

Really nice acidity and round soft tannins. Alcohol just a tad present. That may have more to do with my preference lately for sub 13 % wines. I would guess 14% alcohol.

I think there is enough fruit, tannins, and acidity to allow this wine to go the distance. At least another ten years.

Will space my remaining bottles accordingly.

November 25, 2017 - Really good. Fruit still going strong. Decent acidity. Well balanced

    Went down really well tonight.

This wine has plenty of legs and glad I still have lots more. 2007 is such a great Napa vintage.

December 28, 2016 - Bottle may be flawed. Was not as great as other bottles I have had. Tried pop and pour. This needs at least one hour decant.
