April 5, 2024 - Soft, red fruit, very gentle and delicious
March 15, 2024 - At peak, more so than other nearby vintages. Just wonderful, not a great wine but still very satisfying. Dusty red-fruits and loam, still fruit-forward, slightly coarse texture that still does not detract.
March 11, 2024 - Tasted over 4 hrs
-med red mild bricking
-cherry earth spice sweet sous bois
-med/med+ acidity, med/med- weight faded cherry earth spice with a bit of creamy oak remnant blended with the med/med- chalky tannins on the finish, starts to fade by 4 hrs
-fully mature drinking nicely now
February 12, 2024 - Dinner at SSG. Very good bottle of Lambrays. The opening nose was a touch funky, some barnyard notes but doesn’t get in the way of waves of sweet dark cherry fruits, bursting full of blueberry, cola and earth. Refined tannins and finishes very long. Drinking at peak at the moment.
December 31, 2023 - NYE Vino Fest (Atlanta, GA): Tasted at the annual 2023 New Years Eve Vino Fest in Atlanta. BYOB and guests were encouraged to bring wines with years ending with a 3. No formal notes, just scores. From Mag. The clear WOTN for me among many wonderful wines. Brad - heavypourwine.com
October 30, 2023 - One of the best vintages, everything you would expect elegance and complexity
September 12, 2023 - On the nose, this vintage seduces with ethereal wafts of dark cherries, fresh violets, and a hint of forest floor. The palate is beautifully structured, revealing layers of ripe red fruits, intertwined with nuances of truffle, leather, and a whisper of wet slate. The tannins are silky, guiding towards an elongated finish that resonates with subtle spices and a touch of cocoa. A truly elegant representation of the terroir, showcasing the finesse and depth that one expects from such a prestigious Grand Cru. A wine to ponder over, it gracefully straddles the line between opulence and restraint
February 12, 2023 - Still amazingly fresh for its age although clearly on the ripe side of red berries and plum. Ash, graphite and subtle tertiary flavors. Smooth tannins now pretty much worn off but nice acidity structure to keep the dense body in place. With air and time more musky and forest floor which had initially been rather subdued. More subtle flavors kicking in at the long finish.
February 4, 2023 - Excellent, much fresher than expected. Still a lot of vivacity, the perfect balance between the Bonnes-Mares and the Clos de Tart.
February 3, 2023 - La Paulée de Singapour 2023: From magnum. Beautiful nose and palate of dried roses, tobacco, spices, cherry, raspberry. Long and delicate finish. A real pleasure to try.
