Community Tasting Notes 8

January 11, 2011 - Overdue in drinking, but still enjoyed. Lovely savoury nose, decent tannins and dried fruit on palette. Good if you like aged wines.

March 13, 2010 - By now probably past its best. Hints of deep typical Rioja flavour, more prominent on the nose than pallet. Acidic finish.

February 25, 2010 - Good, but probably should have been drunk by now. Will not last much longer. Lots of berry and very dry. Bit gamey

October 25, 2009 - Not much fruit left in there. Acidic and .. that's it.

May 12, 2009 - Gaucho Wine Club - Italy, Spain and Portugal (Gaucho Tower Bridge, London): Deep Ruby with tawny rim. "Chinese takeaway" notes on the nose - ginger and clove spice. Medium intensity on the nose and palate. Soft integrated tannins and refreshing acidity. Medium bodied. Raspberry and blackcurrant on the attack. A little hollow in the mid palate. Good length of finish.
