April 2, 2018 - Good Pinot scents. Maturing flavour but still a way to go. Quite big, touch of liquorice. Nice wine.

March 7, 2018 - Was flat and fruitless upon opening but after 2-3 hours, the acidity and sweet cherries becomes evident. Therefore this one needs decanting 2-4hrs before enjoyment

    Mortet leverer varene.

December 27, 2014 - Bramble fruit, a little closed but very nice. Needs time but everything is integrating well

October 19, 2014 - Popped & poured, 16C. This is is quite weighty and rich, some lovely oak. Nice cherry sweetness yet a little bit of earthiness. Reminds me a little of some ripe kiwi Pinots but this does have a nice acidity and bite that gives it away as Burgundy. Very deep and long finish. I can see why Mortet is so popular. I do wonder it is a bit made-up though?
Even better with roast poussin - the oak added a gentle richness to the wine. Wasn't a good match with Gruyere and Manchego cheese though.
