July 28, 2023 - Silky indeed. Didn't take a note, but this was memorably elegant and fresh for Cornas... cherry, plum, coffee grounds, leather, olives, cured meat..... gorgeous silky texture on the palate, smooth and lively at once, lots of Syrah character, but finessed and far from the bold and blowsy side of the grape. Wonderful stuff. Mature, but worth following at least another few years.
