  • cweiss Does not like this wine:

June 24, 2020 - Not enough acid. Unlike previous bottles this had an off taste, though the bottle seemed technically sound. Not deemed worth drinking.

December 28, 2018 - Fantastic stuff! Honeyed apricot & stone fruits. Well balanced w/ good acidity. Compellingly drinkable.

July 1, 2017 - Deep gold in colour. Shows piercing aromas of sweet lemon, apricot jam and honey against a backdrop of honeysuckle and linden. So brilliantly textured with a gentle creaminess and lift from energizing acidity. So long and lingering.

October 23, 2016 - Mature nose with a hint of petrol. Golden color, thick and luxurious. Stone fruit, brisk acidity, long finish, almost like ice wine . Great example of aged riesling .

November 23, 2015 - Liquid gold. Very nice and great value

(Bert Simon Serriger Herrenberg Riesling Beerenauslese) I was not nuts about this '03 either. Tons of botrytis but that diffused finish where everything just kind of falls apart and becomes less focused.
