June 22, 2019 - Lean, stingy, stoney and acidic on opening. Alone, no fun; with food, quite good. Fruit flavors and aromas fill in somewhat over two nights, but never as generous and delicious as the 2007 half bottles we drank through a few years ago. Interesting vintage, in general; not sure where this wine is headed over the next few years. We'll see.

May 27, 2019 - Dark cherries, earth. Quite tasty and balanced, but darker than expected. Not as complex or fine and pretty as the burgundies that really wow you.

April 30, 2019 - Nose of rosewater, currants, very ripe strawberries and herb garden. Soft and silky on the palate. Medium lenght. Does get tired quite fast, best within the first 1-2 hours, then fading. Does not feel like one fot the longer run. Time to start drink these.

January 22, 2019 - beautifully scented with rosewater, dried wood and dried cherry, dry, shows nice tension and grip, lots of mineral and earthy nuances which back dried raspberry and cherry flavors across the mid palate, there is lean power which connects all the elements, drinking fine now

June 11, 2018 - 12 years later and still very primary. Nose is dominated by blood orange, ripe strawberries and hint of earth. Lots of unresolved tannins and acidity. It’s a sleeper of a wine

November 15, 2017 - A classic Bize Savigny, this was still rather primary, but there was real veneer of class on this. The nose had deep wafts strawberries and darker berries seasoned with earth and spice, smoke and rubber. The palate was still tight and rather primary, with weighty flavours of ripe strawberry and darker cherries dominating, alongside a little stream of mineral, herb and spice trailing away to a strong finish. There was a real sense of noble structure behind it all, with sinewy tea-leaf tannins and deeply buried acidity giving a sense that this will say for just about forever. Very good.

October 28, 2017 - Super classy red burg. Initially pretty tight and closed in, but with 45 minutes of air this starts to flesh out. Nice ripe red cherry with spice and minty herbs. Agree with Collin that this is still quite primary -- give it 10+ years.

August 7, 2017 - Kinda feels like it's in an in between stage- Menthol nose, some bottle sweetness. But not enough complexity yet

Slightly opaque but quite light in colour. On the nose sweet, ripe fruit, some herbal notes and just a touch of funk. Not too intense. On the palate quite sweet and warm but still well balanced. Good acidity, iron/earth minerality. Old fashioned, hitting maturity. Medium lenght. Good stuff.

December 4, 2016 - Nasty looking cork, but the wine was lovely. The nose was cherry liqueur. The palate had that dark fruit with minerals and soft tannins. High acid. Finish was a tad short, but a really enjoyable wine, especially good with our leftover roast lamb.
