September 22, 2023 - Still very good. Good nose, color and, when aerated, very flavorful.

September 6, 2021 - Nice, if a touch pruney. Probably should have consumed a few years ago for the full fruit experience but still very drinkable w a good finish.

December 21, 2020 - This is a leaner sleek style of Zin with a nice balance of tension between warmer brambleberry fruit and cranberry acids. Add a hint of oak for spice and toast.

I don't see much room for additional ageing adding anything, so would drink up on the sooner side of "sooner or later"

September 23, 2015 - Maroon in color. 15.2% ABV. Red fruits, pepper and baking spices on the nose. Rich yet elegant on the palate. Medium body with great acidity. Flavors of raspberry liqueur, boysenberry, cherry cordial and white pepper. The finish is seamless and long. Absolutely delicious Zinfandel that shows no sign of being almost 10 years old. Drink over the next 1-2 years.

January 27, 2013 - Mixed pepper and berry flavors. Moderate duration and body. Stands up well to decanting and tastes did not fade. Less of a palate than say the Edemeades Zin.

September 25, 2012 - Still going strong... The vibrant flavors and acidity are what make this wine so memorable; the finish lingers for quite a while. I wish there were more of this left in my cellar.

July 3, 2012 - Full body with consistent texture and flavor. Moderately strong zinfandel taste with typical berry/pepper mix (about 50/50). Doesn't let down with decanting or time. Able to pair with a variety of foods but would of course avoid fish.

May 30, 2012 - Dark crimson in the glass with aromas of dark fruit coming off the nose. On the palate, flavors of raspberry, cherry, boysenberry, and vanilla are bright and vibrant, supported by surprising acidity. The finish goes on for at least 30 seconds. Though not what I would consider to be a big, bad, spicy zin, this is delicious. On night two, the wine took on an LBV port-like character and maintained the beautiful acidity present from the moment we opened the bottle. While I am in no rush to drink through what remain in my cellar, this wine is probably in the sweet spot for fruit freshness ... perhaps another 1-2 years of cellaring?

January 16, 2011 - This is a "pretty" style of Zin. Relativey elegant with flavors of blackberries, brambles and brown sugar. Nicely balanced acidity, this is not at all a bomb. Deceptively long finish.
