March 2, 2024 - In my cellar since release. 14.5% ABV. Double decanted after about an hour in late morning and taken later to a friend’s house. Lightly bricked translucent medium garnet, that got redder and less bricked with more air. Earthy, roses, tobacco, and cherry on the nose. Palate still has dusty tannins that are somewhat grippy. Cherry fruit, tar, minerals dominate the mid-palate with tart floral burst on the finish. Mature and ready to drink but probably on a plateau that will last for more than a few years with good cellaring conditions.

December 29, 2023 - A good experience - the wine was used for a blind tasting - which was challenging - the wine was opened and decanted 4 hours before drinking - we got a lot a mature fruit - is was plums and cherries. We got a lot of menthol also leather, tobacco and mushrooms. Acidity and tannins are still medium + tannins a bit dominating - but still the wine has a good balance - the wine gives a long aftertaste - we end up at 94.

December 22, 2023 - Noch überhaupt keine Altersnoten.
Wird aber wohl auch nicht (viel) besser mit mehr Lagerung.

August 8, 2023 - Decanted for one hour before service - three would have been better. In the glass, dark auburn/maroon/red. On the nose, rosewater, tar, and a touch of leather. On the palate, fruit-forward from the attack through the midpalate, with cherries, blueberries, roses, soy, and graphite, but the tannins clamp down from that point onward, to an almost bruising intensity on the finish. Definitely some good material here, but another 5-10 years is in order to deal with those tannins.
