March 10, 2016 - Oregon @ Portland (Portland, London): Dark red fruit. A little spritz and slightly cloudy too. Savoury sweet with a touch of something almost beetrooty. Complex. Lots here. An extra level of depth and complexity. Lovely texture. Very moreish. ****1/2

January 3, 2012 - Last bottle and the best. Opened in Fall 2011. Out of the gate this wine impressed. Didn't need alot of time to tuck in at all. The nose was intense with ripe blackcap berries, dark purple plums, freshly tilled weathered earth and a little campfire smoke. -Tasted full bodied and possessed great focus that pulled in dark ripe fruits, some earth and mushroom funk that was compelling. A nice little explosion mid-palate of that dark fruit, sweet dirt, savory herbs, a little bitters in the mix and chanterelles. Good length. Soft tannin and acid were there for structure but all its awkward angles softened by its evolution in the bottle. Was drinking beautifully.

May 18, 2010 - This wine is intense with flavors of ripe blackberries, plums, cassis and spice with a leathery earthiness shared with the fruit.

March 28, 2010 - A little funky, barn yard and muted fruit. Opened up eventually but if there was a descriptor for "stale wine" this bottle was it.

September 20, 2009 - A big fruity Pinot that is the way I like them. This was rich and savory and I wish that I had more. If you have some of these I think that it is drinking great.
