March 16, 2020 - Right in its drinking window. Balance, concentrated, smooth tannins, sweet but a hint of black olives. I have tasted Hermitages not nearly at this level

February 9, 2020 - Radish and earth on nose plus a hint of sulfite. Mineral driven palate that is fading in intensity. The finish is still quite long, however. This is just past it’s peak so time to drink up.

February 20, 2019 - Red fruit core, some tootsie roll, raisins, twigs from age; wet earth, clay notes in finish; slight soft entry with just a little ripeness; silky, juicy, hint of caramel from oak aging; doesn't really show herbal notes, violets, blueberries or the like--this is a a red fruit driven sweeter style N. Rhone. Not bad, not great. Blind

April 12, 2018 - UWS; A mixed set of wines (@ JB): Beautiful and typical Northern Rhone Syrah bouquet with leather and rustic flavors. On the palate the same impressions and also still very firm and youthful. Good acidity, tannin and length. Beautiful wine in its young maturity stage. Can easily be cellared for another 5 + years. So until 2023+

December 16, 2017 - Very nice wine, still very primary. Dark fruits, cassis, and lots of minerality and acidity. The tannins come out on the long finish.
