April 9, 2021 - Focused, extracted, solid, lean and fresh.

April 3, 2021 - This bottle defied expectations by being better than the one drunk on 3/4/21. Very enticing deep fruit and smoky tobacco on the nose, repeated on the palate. The heavy deposit indicated that it would be just right for my palate, though there were still sufficient tannins to give body and length. Only one bottle left, sadly.

March 14, 2021 - Pleasant funk on opening. Let sit about an hour. Very nice but subtle nose of truffle, iron, red fruit. Nice structure and acidity on the palate although a bit short and compact. Ends with white pepper, classic northern Rhône feel. My fifth of six bottles and easily the best thus far. Even better on the second night. Overall very enjoyable but not thrilling. I think it’s got the stuff to wait a year or 2 for my last bottle (but not much longer than that).

March 4, 2021 - Now needs less time after decanting, otherwise as my notes of 10/15/2017.
I agree that remaining bottles should be drunk this year. Certainly no better than it was in 2018, probably less length and the acidity is more evident on the finish. Very heavy deposit of tannins.

January 26, 2021 - Very enjoyable wine. Dark (blackberry fruit) with a lot of savory (cured meat) notes and a little bit of minerality. A bit of band aid on the nose, but that dissipated after the first day. Tannins resolved. At/close to peak. I would suggest drinking now.
