September 11, 2017 - Well stored... drank this and the corresponding 2005. This is the most Parkerized nightmare of a Pinot Noir I've ever had, with the 2005 close behind. They are remarkably similar though because of the iron-fisted hand of winemaking. Raisinated grapes with the heaveist extraction possible as evidenced by massive pip bitterness, not to mention tons of sediment and slightly cloudy appearance. It's like the winemaker thought they were in the Douro making Port, but instead of adding brandy they added shovels of acid instead. Acidulation here is off the charts to try to balance what would have tasted like prune juice, but instead it tastes like bitter prune juice that burns your mouth.

November 15, 2015 - Everything you could hope for from a twelve year old Pinot.

September 19, 2012 - From magnum. Not much on the nose but drank more like a Santa Barbara Pinot. Big, sweet, red cherry. Served with 3 other opened bottles at a dinner party with 12 guests, everyone switched to this until the bottle was dry. I was shocked, as I expected AF funk and earth and got Cherries Jubilee instead. Nice, long finish, to boot!

July 29, 2012 - Wine was sour and beginning to brown. Un-drinkable, which is unfortunate as we love the wines. Just had a 2007 which was spectacular!

December 21, 2008 - This bottle drank a bit too fruity and light. I did not enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed Fog in the past. Doesn't display the "depth" of the great pinots or of a great Burgundy.
